CHAPTER LEADERSHIP POSITION DESCRIPTION:
VP OF PROGRAMS
This is possibly the most visible and important role out of all of the roles in the ATD Golden Gate Chapter. The vice president of programs is the face of all of the events hosted by the chapter. If you’re someone who loves to find exciting Thought Leaders and share them with the world this is a great opportunity.
You’ll be a voting member of the ATD Golden Gate Board of Directors and have a decision making role as part of the chapter leadership team. You’ll gain valuable experience in strategy, planning and event management; as well as a high visibility role that can help in future networking and job hunting.
As VP of Programs, you will:
- Collaborate with presenters and experts in their fields to create and lead the programs of your dreams
- Schedule and emcee local events and act as the face of the ATD Golden Gate Chapter
- Meet thought-leaders from around the globe and coordinate events for the chapter
- Ensure a relevant programming is held on a regular basis
Skills that would be beneficial to have or that you could grow in the role:
- What you’ll need:

- Strong marketing and public relation skills
- An interest in learning about the topics and knowledge that is influencing contemporary Talent Development
- A willingness to share that knowledge with others
