Don’t let your communication bias get in the way of influencing others. Everyone has different motivational triggers. Whether you are trying to enroll prospective clients, adapt training to meet diverse needs, or want to enhance your ability to persuade and motivate, the way you listen and respond to clients is a critical factor in determining outcomes.

Join this energizing session with Professional Certified Coach Carolyn Godfrey as we identify motivational patterns of perception and behavior styles impinging on how we communicate with others. Based on Neuro-Linguistic Programming (specifically The Language and Behaviors Profile created by Robert Bailey), when we listen for language patterns, we can better understand what motivates clients and predict how they may behave.

Through highly interactive and engaging exercises we will learn how to:
  • listen for key motivational patterns
  • understand a client’s strategy
  • use language to influence a client’s behaviors
  • gain a deeper understanding of our own motivation and thinking patterns
Working in front-line senior management roles for 13 years before starting Evolve Consulting and Coaching in 2001, Carolyn Godfrey learned the importance of influence. Now, focusing in the areas of Effective Communication and Leadership Coaching with managers and teams, she has trained and coached hundreds of management personnel. In her practice Carolyn assists leaders in creating breakthroughs that build stronger relationships and produce important business results for themselves and their organizations. As an international coach, trainer and mentor, Carolyn holds an MA in Human Resources and Organization Development, and the accreditation of Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Recent client organizations include: CH2M HILL, Pandora Internet Radio, Mutual of Omaha, Mills College, Women’s Action to Gain Economic Security and Lawrence Livermore Employee Services Association as well as companies in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.
