After successfully attracting and recruiting the best candidates, how can talent management professionals support the development and retention of top talent? In this session, you will have the opportunity to hear from a panel of experts, representing some of the larger employers in Sonoma County, on how they handle their onboarding challenges. Please join us in exploring ideas for integrating new employees and preparing them to be successful and fully engaged members of your organization. There will be time for discussing your specific issues with the members of the panel.

Half of all hourly workers leave new jobs in the first four months, and half of senior outside hires fail within 18 months. In fact, studies show that the majority of employees make their decision to stay with the company in the first 90 days of joining, making new hire orientation extremely critical. Onboarding helps new hires adjust to the social and performance aspects of their jobs so they can quickly become productive, contributing members of the organization. In this workshop we will explore different examples of current on-boarding programs and look at how organizations induct new employees into an organization’s culture. The session will cover the strategic use of onboarding; explore how talent management experts can support the process.
