To be an effective facilitator, planning and organizing your content and following an agenda isn’t enough. You must engage your audience and create an environment that meets the needs of all types of adult learners. In this dynamic and highly interactive presentation, John Goldberg and B.J. King will share best practices and examples from their wealth of facilitation experience, including ways to encourage participation, setting clear direction, understanding your personal facilitation style and much more.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:

John Goldberg is the Principal Consultant and founder of JL Goldberg & Associates. John has provided training and development programs, in addition to operations and materials management consulting services, since 2001. He wrote and facilitated distance learning programs for the California State Parks working with over 30,000 students. 

In addition to his training work, John has spent over 25 years in management positions in operations, materials and supply chain management in semiconductor, semiconductor capital equipment and engineering companies. John is also a published wildlife and nature photographer and has several magazine covers to his credit. John is currently the Director of ASTD Golden Gate Chapter South Bay. 

A motivational speaker, workshop facilitator, and life/career coach, B. J. King has been influencing job seekers, corporate employees and friends to explore ideal careers and create plans to achieve their dreams for over sixteen years. A frequent workshop facilitator at ProMatch and the Sunnyvale EDD NOVA/Connect Center, she helps job seekers refine their resumes, brush up on interviewing skills, and create vision boards. B. J.’s motivational talks are highly valued at several non-profit organizations in the Santa Clara Valley. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and Organizational from the University of San Francisco and a certificate in HR Management from UCSC Extension Silicon Valley.
