Originally designed as a recruitment tool, LinkedIn has grown to be the largest professional networking site, with 175 million users. Over 100 people create a new LinkedIn account every 60 seconds. Whether you’re a casual LinkedIn user, serious user, or just seriously confused, you’ll gain some valuable tips in this session.

Bring your laptop or smartphone. This will be a “working session” because who the heck has time to do this stuff:

• Update your LinkedIn profile/professional identity

• Make connections

• Have fun with CardMunch – a free app that turns paper business card into contacts on your iphone

• Learn and share your knowledge by joining LinkedIn groups

• Use LinkedIn to promote your business

• Promote your expertise, LinkedIn is integrated with Box.net and Slideshare.net, so people can see your PDF documents or PowerPoint files.

Snacks and beverages will be available.

If at all possible, please RSVP by September 12.
