Great training starts with a great instructional design. This workshop teaches you how to develop instructionally sound courses that elicit meaningful participation, provide challenging content and achieve the learning objectives.

No matter what your delivery format – face-to-face, online, self-paced – you’ll be able to design a compelling workshop.

What you will learn – learning objectives:

This workshop follows the “industry standard” ADDIE model. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to design & develop training courses.

Given a training need and an audience profile, workshop participants will be able to:

  • Gather information and write the key points.
  • Write learning objectives.
  • Sequence the learning objectives.
  • Select appropriate instructional strategies.
  • Design the learning activities.
  • Format the design document.

Learning Lab:
During the workshop, you will get structured time to apply what you are learning to an actual workshop that you are developing.

We keep the number of participants low so that each participant receives plenty of coaching and personal attention.

Bring your subject materials and laptop so we can work on your workshop together.

What other participants have said:
"Now I have a structure for organizing material logically and effectively while retaining audience interest & promoting learning."
"By far, the best value for educational dollar I’ve ever spent."
"Great resources and reference tools."
"The activities were very useful. The instructors were very knowledgeable. They helped me with the design of a course I’m delivering next week."

Who should attend:
  • Anyone who designs workshops.
  • Anyone who needs to revise a workshop.
  • Anyone who runs workshops and wants to fix the design.
  • Any subject matter expert who trains others.
  • Anyone who wants to solve the problem of Death by PowerPoint.
  • Any trainer who wants to get higher ratings.
