Program 3: Live, Online Classroom Facilitation Skills

Hone your live, online classroom facilitation skills. Upon completion of this 3-week webinar series, you will be able to effectively facilitate live, online training.

Participants will learn and practice effective, practical and creative strategies and techniques for the live online environment. Best practice tips will be explained, modeled, and reinforced. You will have any opportunity to practice the skills discussed to gain facilitation expertise.

  • Secrets of effectively engaging your audience without eye-contact
  • How to manage problems in a virtual classroom
  • A participant guide, templates, checklists, and resource lists and opportunities to practice your facilitation skills.

Presenter:
Kathleen Sexton has more than 15 years of experience providing webinar training services, organizational development, and career development services through her consulting firm, Kairos Learning (www.kairoslearning.com). Through her work with leaders and learners at all levels and in business, non-profit and academic environments, she has the versatility and experience to meet a broad range of client needs. She has expertise in the synchronous/webinar training environment as well as team building, strategic planning, training design and delivery, creating career development programs, and individual career counseling.

Before launching Kairos Learning, Kathleen worked for almost a decade at Stanford University's Learning & Development Department. She developed a premier career development program for staff (COMPASS: compass1.stanford.edu) and managed several training programs, including the Department Managers Training Program, Staff Development Programs, Stanford’s New Employee Orientation and the Learn From Anywhere Initiative - Webinar Program. She currently serves on the faculty of Stanford University’s Continuing Studies and as an instructor of University of California Irvine Extension.

Kathleen holds a master’s degree in counseling from San Francisco State University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI), and is a MBTI Master Practitioner Certification and a Nationally Certified Career Counselor (NCCC).
