Careers in Learning & Development and Organizational Development can take a variety of paths. Join in, chime in and mine everyone’s ideas for your own next career transition, whether you’re new to the profession, mid-career, or looking for your next growth opportunity.

Who should come: Newly graduated OD professionals, seasoned L&D and OD practitioners, consultants, anyone in transition, or anyone who may be in transition sometime in the future – that’s everyone!

We’ll use the World Café format, a fun, active experiential process that guarantees that everyone gets to participate in the sharing and discovery. The World Café will be led by Mary Anne Rasmussen, of the Rasmussen Consulting Group.

PRESENTER: Mary Anne Rasmussen MS, HROD
Mary Anne's life's work is developing people and the organizations they live in. As a Global Talent Development consultant she identifies leadership's strategic priorities, then ignites the potential in people with strategically aligned development programs that fill performance gaps and propel the entire organization forward. Mary Anne helps organizations invest in people development activities that gain the greatest competitive advantage in the marketplace. High performance is always the goal, in an environment of trust, sincerity and personal and professional growth.

Before starting Rasmussen Consulting Group, Mary Anne held significant talent development leadership positions. These include:
  • Director of Systemwide Talent Management at the University of California, Office of the President, where she created strategic partnerships among the talent management teams at all 10 campuses, 5 medical centers and the lab;
  • Senior Director of Executive Development for Allianz AG, where she was responsible for the creation and implementation of the global succession planning program, including the identification of high potentials, and development of international executive development programs for high potential leaders.
  • Leadership roles at Fireman’s Fund, Gap Inc., Applied Materials, Charles Schwab, and Pacific Bell.
Mary Anne's consulting firm has built organizational capability in many industries, including biomedical research, financial services, aerospace, high tech manufacturing, internet security, assisted care facilities, precision manufacturing, and state government.
