Finding, vetting, and onboarding new employees can be a painful and slow process which begins long before the first day of work and involves coordination between many different departments. Looking at onboarding from multiple perspectives will help to solve the problem, streamline the process for everyone.

Learn how to spend your time and resources wisely by taking a holistic approach and tackling the process from different perspectives. Join our panel of experts as they discuss what works and what doesn't from their personal experience. Discussion topics include:
  • Finding the right candidate 
  • Figuring out what skill sets you really need to fill a position 
  • Interviewing effectively
  • Developing onboarding training that gets people up to speed effectively and efficiently
  • Coordinating the onboarding process across multiple departments 
  • Keeping employees long term
You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions and share your own experiences.

This will be a panel presentation.

Rajon Tumbokon, Head of Tech Academy at LinkedIn. Rajon Tumbokon manages Tech Academy, the learning & development program for LinkedIn engineers. In this role, he is responsible for onboarding and training engineers on internal and open source technologies. Prior to LinkedIn, Rajon worked at Google where he developed learning apps on Android that provided Sales Googlers valuable product knowledge on the go. Rajon also held key learning & development roles at WebLearning and Johnson & Johnson, where he focused on producing and deploying large-scale learning programs for sales, compliance, diversity & inclusion, and onboarding.

Paolo Casumbal is the sole recruiter at Lever, focused on finding the best engineers to build next-generation talent technology. Previously, he spent time building up tech recruiting at Zenefits and also spent three years in recruiting at Box. Before entering the world of start-ups, Paolo graduated from Stanford with a BA in International Relations.

Maureen Middleton, SPHR, recently joined Summer Search, a national college readiness non-profit as their National Director of HR & Talent. Maureen has over a decade of HR experience working in a variety of industries, both for profit and non-profit firms. As a generalist, Maureen has experience in all aspects of HR, and strongly believes that the onboarding process is critical to employee success.

Nancy Clark is the Founder and President of Leadership Dynamics, a premiere global management consulting and training firm specializing in leadership development, strategic planning, organizational change management, team performance improvement/acceleration, and executive coaching. Nancy is a speaker, author, and C-suite coach to leaders from Global 100 to small family-owned businesses.

Having grown up in a family business, Nancy’s lessons about management and leadership set an early foundation. Combined with her formal education, Nancy continues to learn and develop her theories and practices on leadership. With more than 30 years of systems and operations management experience, Nancy utilizes her business, financial, and technical knowledge to help individuals, teams, and organizations. She dedicates her efforts to helping clients anticipate, prepare, and transition their organizations for the future.

Nancy is a member of numerous professional organizations and is called upon frequently to speak on current leadership challenges. She received her B.A. Degree from University of California Davis and her M.B.A. from Santa Clara University. Nancy is the author of 18 Holes for Leadership: How a Round of Golf Can Make You a Better Leader, which continues to gain professional acclaim and commercial success.
