We all make decisions, whether it’s designing training, delivering training, managing learnin programs or using talent management analytics to show results. Many people confuse problem-solving with decision-making. This event will make the difference clear once and for all, and set you on the path to making better decisions.

Whether it’s coordinating workforce and succession planning, developing and monitoring a budget, conducting a needs assessment or deciding between various learning technologies we all have to make crucial decisions on a regular basis. Research supports that humans can process only a limited amount of information at a given point in time. So in the face of information and choice overload, our decision-making tends to become overly influenced by personal bias, intuition, prior experience, and preconceived ideas.

This often results in:

  • feeling there are no options, resulting in procrastination and avoiding making a decision
  • feeling there are too many options, becoming confused and reluctant to make a decision
  • feeling there are few options, then making a decision even when one is not warranted

Register now for this event and be able to be more effective in your decision making by:

  • understanding key factors that impact decision-making
  • dealing with decisions driven by uncertainties
  • understanding the difference between problem-solving and decision-making

This event is for anyone who makes decisions and:

  • designs or delivers training
  • provides organizational development services
  • manages HR programs, knowledge management infrastructures, learning programs or integrated talent management resources
