How do you get a group of class participants engaged? How do you revive a group in the middle of a training session? Join the North Bay GIG in our upcoming networking event and share your favorite ice breaker or energizer.

What does it take to get a class or group engaged quickly? Come share your best ice breaker or energizer with your talent development and OD peers.

Ice breakers and energizers are one of the best ways to get your participants interacting with each other quickly and can be used to restore energy during a long class or event. Stock your toolkit with new ice breakers and energizers to engage your next class/event.

We will hold this event as a throwdown. Bring your best ice breaker; the one that is judged to be the best by the participants will win a prize.

  1. Pick your favorite or most effective ice breaker or energize. It should take no more than 15 minutes to complete.
  2. Come prepared to demonstrate this icebreaker; bring enough materials for 25 participants, if materials are required.
  3. If materials are required, bring a list of these to share with participants
  4. Develop a marketing pitch to convince your peers they will want to see your ice breaker/energizer demonstrated. This can include a poster, a display of materials, a video, a performance or other method to interest the session participants in learning more about your ice breaker/energizer. If you are speaking or doing a performance or video, it should take no more than 1 minute to deliver the message.
  5. The marketing pitches will be shared during the first 15 minutes of the program. After all have had a chance to pitch their ice breaker, the participants will vote on the top 4 they wish to experience.
  6. The 4 people selected will each have 15 minutes to demonstrate the ice breaker.
  7. Once all ice breakers/energizers have been completed, program attendees will select their favorite for the grand prize.

Please share this event with your networks!
