Daniel is passionate about developing teams so they can accomplish their purpose. He consults with non-profit, public, and private organizations. He joined ATD Golden Gate to contribute to and learn from the experience of training professionals across industries. He enjoys applying lessons-learned to his work as an Organization Development Consultant and Trainer. Daniel feels privileged by the opportunity to contribute to the leadership of the ATD Golden Gate Chapter.  He  served on the Board as President Elect in 2017 and earlier was in a leadership role in the chapter's North Bay Geographical Interest Group.

VP, Membership 2018: MARIA CARRASCO

Maria (Bea) is a relationship-driven human capital professional with over 10 years of learning & development experience in higher education and corporate settings. She worked at Omaha Steaks for nearly 16 years in various roles improving performance of employees by consulting, assessing, creating, and implementing learning and performance solutions.

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Kearney and a Master of Science degree in Leadership Development from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is a Certified Strategic Human Resources Business Partner (sHRBP).

She has volunteered on several health and education-related organizations, served as a board member of ATD Nebraska & Latino Center of the Midlands, and is passionate about leadership and diversity & inclusion.

VP, Programs 2018: DAVID STYERS

David Styers has an extensive 25-year history working on the forefront of nonprofit and civic engagement in volunteer and leadership development and is a Certified Governance Trainer, Civic Change Leadership Trainer, and Youth Leadership Trainer.

At the Presidio Trust, an innovative federal agency created to save the Presidio in San Francisco and transform it into a new kind of national park, David serves as the Director of Learning and Development and is responsible for directing the Trust's organizational training strategy and programs and supporting Operational Excellence and organizational development initiatives. He also serves as the EEO Counselor for the Trust, and as Acting Chief Human Resources Officer when necessary. Additionally, since 2007, David has served as a Senior Governance Consultant for BoardSource. He holds a Specialization in Design Thinking and Innovation from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a degree in English and religion from Wake Forest University. David pursues his passion for the arts as a singer in the San Francisco Symphony Chorus and lives with his partner in El Cerrito.

VP, Marketing, 2018: KYLE TEAGUE

Kyle has been a learning and development professional at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts for 5 years. Starting his career in Palm Beach to his current role in Palo Alto as the Learning and Development Manager, Kyle has been submersed in a wide rage of learning and development initiatives. Most notably, he has been heavily involved in facilitation, on-boarding, instructional design, and elearning content design, and dabbled in other areas as well.

Originally from Denver, CO, Kyle completed his undergraduate degree at Metropolitan State University of Denver with a double major in Aviation Management and French with a minor in Human Resources. Currently, he is working on his Masters Degree at Colorado State University (online) in Organizational Learning, Performance, and Change.

Immediate Past-President, 2018: TERRY BARTON

Terry's past nine years serving on the Board of Directors culminated into her role as Chapter President. Terry brings over 20 years of Management and Organizational Development experience to the chapter. She currently Director of Systemwide Staff Development Programs at The University of California Office of the President, a role that has taught her the true importance of collaboration and partnership. She is now happy to lend a hand to the transition to the new Board as well as act as temporary CFO.

In her various leadership roles, Talent Development was always a focus, and you might even say she is “in the family business”, hailing from a long line of educators, coaches and consultants. Terry holds a Master of Science degree in Management and Organizational Development, which she earned from the University of San Francisco and has been an Adjunct Faculty member at Chabot College since 2005. Terry is an active member of several community groups and is a contributing author in the book Savvy Leadership Strategies for Women.
